Super loads:

A super load permit is required for any load exceeding 160′ long (on 4-lane highway), 16′ wide, 14’6″ high (depending on the route) and/or 201,000 lbs. Escort vehicle requirements can differ significantly by state in terms of mandatory driver qualifications, training, certifications, vehicle weights, obligatory signage/flags/lighting, necessary onboard equipment, and more.
